La storia del Castello del Monferrato – Parte II

Un profondo rimaneggiamento del castello è quello voluto da Guglielmo Gonzaga, duca di Mantova e signore di Monferrato. Attuato tra il principio degli anni Sessanta e la metà degli anni Settanta del secolo XVI, esso imprime al castello la forma esagonale ancora attualmente visibile, dovuta all’utilizzo delle cortine lunghe angolate. Interventi di inizio Settecento porteranno al rifacimento dei due torrioni occidentali, il cui aspetto esteriore viene però mantenuto. 

Una nueva manipulación del castillo fue sugerida por Guglielmo Gonzaga, duque de Mantova y señor de Monferrato. Realizado entre el comienzo de los años ’60 y la mitad de los años ’70 del siglo XXI, imprime al castillo la forma hexagonal que se puede ver en la actualidad, debida al utilizo de las cortinas largas y anguladas. Las intervenciones a comienzo del siglo XVIII llevarán a la reconstrucción de los dos torreones de oeste, cuyo aspecto exterior se conserva.

It is executed at the beginning of the 1560’s and the first half of the 1570’s and gives the castle the existing modern hexagonal plant, due to the addition of long corner curtains.
At the beginning of the XVIIIth century,  new restoration works will lead to the renovation of the two fortified towers but their  outward appearance is kept.

Un remaniement profond du château fut voulu par Guillaume Gonzague, duc de Mantoue et seigneur du Montferrat. Réalisé entre le début des années 60 et la moitié des années 70 du 16ème siècle, il donna au château la forme hexagonale qui demeure visibile, due à l’emploi de courtines longues à angle. Des interventions datant du début du 18ème siècle sont à l’origine de la réfection des deux tours occidentales, dont l’aspect extérieur est toutefois conservé.

Eine tiefgreifende Umgestaltung des Schlosses wurde e von Guglielmo Gonzaga, Herzog von Mantua und Herr des Monferrato, gewünscht. Sie wurde zwischen Anfang der sechziger Jahre und Mitte der siebziger Jahre des sechzehnten Jahrhunderts eingeführt und verleiht dem Schloss seine sechseckige Form, die heute noch sichtbar ist, da lange winklige Vorhänge verwendet wurden.  Anfang des achtzehnten Jahrhunderts wurden die beiden Westbuerge wiedererbaut.
